Regarding the sound and quality of the unit: superb. The sound is getting better and more refined.

Performance: after a few days, it feels better. I think it has finally started to feel a bit more powerful and not like it lost a lot of tq in the low end. Maybe it just takes a few days to season and really start working correctly.

I'll post some pics and a video soon.

Nope I have a mod sitting my house to be installed either today or this weekend.

AEM tuned intake.

More mods coming. Strut tower. Lower power brace. Rear sway bar. perrin over pipe.

I am trying to add more power but unfortunately my options are limited in the forms of exhaust and the intake, unless I got turbo or supercharger which is a lotmore $$$ and not really the reliability I am looking for in a DD.

If you reset the battery, the throttle learning is probably messing with your sense of performance for the first ~100 or so miles.

What do you mean? I didn't reset anything.

When you unplug the negative battery terminal, you are resetting the ECU. You should do this each time you install a modification so that the ECU can learn the new modification.

My Triumph Rocket III (2300cc motorcycle) has an ecu "auto-tune" feature.

You start bike without applying any trottle & let it continue to idle for 11 minutes after the fan kicks on.

Anyone know if there is a similar feature for the FR-S?

I think the ECU will relearn it anyway? I don't think it needs to have that done. Maybe with older cars but I was under the impression you didn't have to do that for exhausts these days.

It will adjust without reset, just slower.
