i assume you are going to be running e85 for the huge power, but just out of curiosity ever thought of testing race gas like c16 or VP Import just to see how much you can play around with the timing + boost on it ?

I've got spare C16 and Q16 from the drag car at the shop, I'm as curious as you are!

I'm surprised full-blown didn't try it already. Its going to be cool to show how high this engine could go and the potential it has; even though some people are going to start saying how its a dyno queen. Its still going to be cool.

i always thought Q16 worked better on HiComp NA builds but i realized a lot of FI builds use it. Considering its oxygenated it does tend to lean out the engine which i don't think you want to do with the stock block.

But hey... MUST TRY RACE FUEL

Finished organizing the engine bay, all new push lock vacuum hoses and fittings, redid the catch can, got the air filter on. Only tuning remains.....
First up: 93 Octane Power! I'll keep everyone informed!

So I am going to be a complete idiot for a second.... I thought these engines didn't have the compression for a turbo? and seeing as Crawford sales a re built bottom for turbo applications I really thought turboing a stock engine was a no go. So how does one not blow a stock block and turbo a engine that was said to not be able to handle it in stock form?

You answered your question (bolded).

It was just that, talk. Until people started boosting this motors up, nobody really knew. Now you can see the results here. The rumors where wrong.
