I've been doing a TON of research, reading, PM'ing trust me I have been losing a ton of sleep over this and wheels lol.

So you know Matt...

I 100% do not disagree with you, I wanted to make this specific post as it may be my only option next to stock to be honest. There is only one dealer here within a 6 hour drive and so far the dealings on questions such as these are sketchy. I 100% want to spend that money on Lachute, Perrin or such systems truthfully I do. However I am consulting the dealer again and making sure I speak to someone there who knows the facts of how "THEY" deal with such things. I just do NOT want stock that is the bottom line, so if I have to be one of those dumb ones as you say to get the TRD Exhaust then I suppose I'll have to be lol. I do not have time to argue with dealers, their rules and how they may pass along info to Toyota I just don't have it in me as an older guy.

If I have a choice and feel comfortable about it, it will be Lachute or Perrin as those have been the best I've heard "from net at least". if not it will be TRD and that at least although very overpriced I agree, will be better then stock at least.

Thanks for your time

Glad you're being very smart about it. You picked two really good choices for a system. Only thing that turned me away from Lachute was the price but the sound that system makes is really good. Definitely louder than the TRD system but you'll get 2.5" from the catback as well.

I saw somewhere in a thread where someone measured the TRD midpipe and it was in the 2.1-2.2" range.

I chose the Nameless Axleback Offset because it produces a very deep tone that is definitely noticeable, but doesn't overwhelm. Granted it is only an Axleback, it will become louder as more components are added up front.

Well seems that as long as I stay mid pipe and back I'm ok. Therefore lachute is in the gate to try first. . I know ill like the sound just hoping not too loud is all in person. If it is well ill think of "something".

I just purchased the TRD exhaust and Intake a few days ago. The exhaust really sounds great in the low RPM range. cold starts and down shifting for stop lights sounds damn sexy . Really happy with the sound, since it sounds so good in the low RPM it takes away some of that urge to constantly stomp the peddle to hear it go.

The most important factor for me in purchasing this exhaust and intake is to get the sound I want while also not having to worry at all about warranty and smog checks. I have a invidia catless downpipe on order, my plan is to just swap it in and out when I need to take it in for service its 4 bolts and a hanger so it doesn't really get any easier than that. that should give me a pretty big sound boost and beef up the upper RPM ranges with more tone. O and cops cant make you take off your TRD parts also

I actually have the opposite problem with mine...I just want to open her up because it also sounds good at 5K rpm as well!

That's another good reason to go with it. I can't tell you how many times I've been pulled over for having a modified exhaust whether or not it was too loud. Now they can't say sh!t.

All of this boils down to what makes you want to more!

I've got a TRD as well and love it. You can call me stupid if you wish but from my search, it was the one that sounded good to my ears. I heard a lot of others that just didn't satisfy.

Sounds great at all rpm's and doesn't feel much louder when driving. Just a nice tone. I didn't find I needed to raise the radio much and I can talk to my girl without yelling like my other car .

I'm really happy with my purchase. Only thing, is I have no clue how it sounds with a UEL header... Guess if no one records a sound, I'll find out later on hehehe.
