Lots more photos HERE
I just want to say -- that would be an AMAZING winter car. We get nasty winter here; cold, lots of ice, the need for AWD / 4WD is astronomical this time of year. I mean, my Kia got me around just fine with winter tires equipped, but theres still a lot to desire! When your steering wheels are also your driving wheels and they start to spin while turning and for some reason you forget to ease off the accelerator and end up kissing the snow bank, thats when you wish you had AWD or 4WD. This RSC would be so awesome to have parked in the front drive way.

EDIT :: just looked at the attached "more photos" thing, they could put normal seats, stereo from the tacoma in there, and maybe a 6 speed standard and I'd be super happy with it for my winter / grocery getter lol

Agreed. I'd rather drive something called "Scooty Puff Sr."

Great show, indeed.
I had a feeling oldskool would be the one to recognize that reference.

Damn no one thought of this yet. reading some of the other threads, if anything else is to be made from the ft-86 platform it will most likely to be the next MR2 hybrid thingy that is most speculative now.

Why would you turn an FR platform into an MR hybrid?

The same reason y Benz might modify their next gen FF platform to rival the FT-86

wouldnt that give them a good starting point if they didn want to use the last mr2 platform?

naw bro amg's plan to change an FF car into FR is a crazy idea and would probably be stupid expensive, that's why it made the news. i highly doubt that budget conscious toyota would try something like that. there is no way a front engine platform would be a good starting point for an MR platform, you'd have to tear the car apart and put it back together.
