I just want a bit more power for street driving fun. I'm generally conservative anyway with my top speed so I just want some instant acceleration power. The BRZ is so balanced it just seems like it was built for more speed than this. It's fun now but it could be a riot. I think I want a car in STi territory for speed. From what little I have just read I like the supercharger option better as long as the miles per gallon is not dramatically worse than turbo. So I'm not chasing horsepower numbers I just want more longevity conservative NJ-CA emissions legal boosted fun.

I know that the Vortech SC is or they are in the process of making it CARB legal, I'm not sure which, but it will add about 80+ whp over stock, so it'll be a nice addition.

If you want legal, and like superchargers, check out the Vortech. Their new complete kits will be putting out 300 bhp stock (flywheel - so ~255whp nobody has tested the new kit to my knowledge), tuned from factory I believe. They're a little bit pricier than the entry level turbos, but competitive with the mid range turbos.

The smaller turbos also don't look bad on this car, but all of them remove the cat in the header (all but ptuning's new mystery turbo I believe) . They all seem to be low boost and putting similiar numbers to the Vortech.

I've been checking out the ptuning turbo lately, as it puts down good numbers and the dyno curve is good. Its exciting to think about 300whp stock . New kid on the block though, but there have been people who drove it on their thread (new turbo kit thread I think).

I'm also in Cali btw.

Vortech was underachieving at first but with the upgrades they are doing now it would be tied for my first choice with AVO for a bolt on kit. Innovate would be great if it ever comes out.
