I see a mention of both stock seats and a 5-point harness. Is there a slot for the submarine belt on the stock seats?

Thanks for sharing this Moto! Thanks for the explanation of the brakes as well, I thought the car was just half finished seeing the two different brake setups. Very interesting.

The cages in these Celebrity cars are limited to cabin space, and protect from rollover and side impacts. They do not pipe into the front forks or rear beyond the axle position, so as not to alter the already excellent crash safety zones of the FRS. They do not need to be super rigid as they are not a full season race car, nor are they tuned to be absolute speed attack since they are only racing amongst the same car in a ONE-make event. What these cars feature is the ultimate safety and even exact conditions so the race is both fair to the drivers and VERY safe, racing inside 30ft wide road bordered by concrete walls at Long Beach. It can also be said that the Celebrities who partake in these races cost more for half day minor injuries or any body discomforts, than the entire FRS race cars, for each minute they miss work elsewhere. Imagine! George Lucas and William Fichner, Cameron Diaz, etc who all make tons of money for every appearance on TV and movies.

Nice manageable, predictable car is what this is... But because of this trait, we shall see every driver be free with his/her style of driving more than ever since they are not as tricky as front driven cars of the past at the limits.

No the Simpson 5 points can basically roll around the front of the seat bottom, and it is more to secure the shoulder straps from lifting in place than to keep driver from submarine motion, as the airbags are retained.

These TRD USA 18" wheels, I hear, will be available from the dealers soon as accessory. Also the brake kit, with some more modifications I assume to meet Toyota's warranty and exacting standards, assessed, will probably be sold eventually as well. But because they are OEM Toyota grade and there is a huge expense in making them TOYOTA quality and paperwork to get them good enough for dealers, and lawyers, don't expect them to be cheap either.

Loved all the detailed info and especially the video! Now that I know they are using the Fr-S for the celebrity event, not to mention what I'm sure will be a strong showing in Formula Drift, I'm definitely going to hit up the Prix this year! Thanks Moto!
