Still, it's a lot of good fun.

^^^ LOL! That zip-tie vid is priceless!

Btw, they're all 4WD stock. Hence the drive shaft that connects the front and rear axles. I locked the rear diff on my RC by stuffing it with silly putty (some people use super glue). I like using putty because you can test different settings and just pull the putty out and re-grease the diff if you're not satisfied with locked diffs.

Example: We tried locking both diffs on the yellow FD, then we locked the front, alone, then the rear. We found that we liked the front open and rear locked best out of all three setups.

The stock diffs in the TT01 are both gear driven, but the guys I talked to recommended that I swap out the front diff to a ball one if I want to leave it open. Haven't done it yet. But it's on my to-do list.

Another beater body I found online...

Perfect wife-approved solution... it's even an AE86 TURBO!! (and if you get real good... perhaps you can show your wife your "willie" stand up !!)

This is probably one of the smallest remote control cars I’ve ever owned, or even seen. It’s simply exciting, if you have watched the famous Anime Initial D, what's shown above is a Toyota AE86 remote car. This small remote car is a gift from Jim, brought all the way back from Taiwan. (If you know if there is anything similar locally, please let me know because I’d definitely want to get more)

This little remote car comes in 4 different bands, that means maximum of 4 players can race at the same time. It also has this "turbo mode" button that can push your car speed faster. The gap between the back of the car and the number plate enables you to insert a coin, or something flat and heavy enough to do a "willie" stand up and perform some stunts. Cool huh! More photos after jump.

Well, the kit is just what you see in the picture. It's just the car and the controller. Batteries, charger pack, and other accessories are still left up to you to purchase separately.
