Which dealer? I went in to one about 4 weeks ago and got put on a list for a white 6mt fully loaded. They will call me when they get the options list so I can option it out how I want it. For what its worth I did the same at the local subaru dealer too. Figure one way or another I will get the car I want as soon as its available.

I got a bunch of those Subaru e-mails about 0% also. I wonder if that would have even extended to the BRZ since it's such a new car.

As long as you made sure it was refundable you should be good. also, how much $100? $200? & did you put it on a credit card and get a receipt or leave them cash or check.

Tip for anyone else going to leave a deposit here soon. Ask them if it is 100% refundable, put it on on a credit card and ask for a copy of the receipt. I would not leave cash because dealerships do have paperwork everywhere and if we're waiting 4 to 5 more months of course it could get lost.

I am curious if you discussed the timing of the delivery. Did they give you any estimate?

Is this to replace your E46 M3? I don't think I could replace mine for a BRZ/FR-S, but can't justify adding another car either.

Maybe for a BRZ-STI, I could change my mind.

I have done deposits as a check and also on a credit card. The check they never cashed it. I just came and picked up the car when the order arrived. The credit card they charged and then credit the price of the car of the credit charge.

But the thing is everything I ever ordered I knew what the price was going to be.
