This is another Scion concept I just don't understand.. they are basically saying "Don't buy the car yet. Wait for the next one. Which will come out if there is enough sales and demand. Errr.. uhmmm.. doh!"

Improving the car year over year is one thing, releasing fancy models every year that are different from the prior years fancy model just doesn't make sense to me.

nah man they get it. it's scions way of getting around their business model and doing trim levels. the Release series is just a higher trim model that only comes in one badass color.

Adding special versions isn't planned obsolescence. In fact, it is the complete opposite because it keeps an old model viable for a little longer instead of doing a complete redesign sooner.

They have GOT to make a "Heritage" Edition!! Perhaps a panda paint-scheme one! and one with Rear lights similar to those of the 2000GT and other cosmetic "heritage" things! THAT WOULD BE AMAZING!

this would be an idiotic idea. the GT-R is a legit supercar and it has to stay competitive year after year. but this car? no way. all it would do is alienate the early adopters. instead they should finally offer TRD or Modellista aftermarket parts at a reasonable price. that should be enough to keep things interesting.

as for the Release series cars? unique colors, body kits, wheels, and some interior features not easily added can make those cars unique. but the performance bits? they should be available to everyone at a reasonable price.
