We'll see. I'm getting my car this week, so I'll be able to find out for myself. If the factory brakes on the S2k are good enough for fast drivers on brake intensive courses, then I do believe the factory brakes on the BRZ/FRS will work just as well. People are just changing shit for the sake of changing shit in my mind.

So you're going to be tracking your car in the dead of winter in Chicago this weekend? Good luck out there...

I tracked at Gingerman at the beginning of January and set a personal best in the weather. Just because it's cold doesn't mean you can't track. Fastest session at NASA National Champsionships this year was when it was about 50 degrees out. :happy0180:

If this season is anything like last season, Ill more than make up for not being able to track in winter. I don't think people down south even get to spend 50+ days on track, do they?

Not if they have a family lol

Didn't realize tracks were open in the winter up there. Oh, and as mentioned above by Dave (a trustworthy source), the stockers would fry @ a track like Sebring in the dead of summer.
Maybe w/ fluid/pads/plenty of air, they'd live--but I personally wouldn't want to be barreling into turn 17 @ almost 130 there. My .02 & YMMV

Exclamation They do get warm.

Fitted HEL Braided lines.

Ferodo DS 2500 front pads only, AP 600 Fluid
and stock rotors.

Did 11 sessions over a 6 Hour period at Sydney Motorsport Park GP Circuit

http://www.sydneymotorsportpark.com....andPrixCircuit

Brakes Held Up but some serious steam when I would pull in the pit lanes.

I think if you had to do a longer run say 25+ minutes it would be real marginal.

I never had issues with my S2K rotors on track either...

Some have had better luck than I have, but my BRZ rotors didn't hold up so well down here. Smoked em at MO, smoked em at sebring. Smoke doesn't bother me.. the metal separating was a bit disconcerting.

Arrived today--just in time for my weekend @ Roebling.

Thank you very much for the purchase! I think you are really going to enjoy them, particularly as the day wears on out there. The beauty is that they will just give you one less thing to worry about or focus on. :happy0180:

Thanks! Our systems are the business, and we designed them specifically with this crowd, and the shortcomings of other kits on the market, squarely in mind. In my opinion, if you're tracking these cars heavily, our Competition kits are a no-brainer. You buy our Sprint System for $2k...beat it to death for the years you own the car, and will likely get at least $1k back for it on the used market when you sell the car. You can then drop your OEM brakes back on the car when you sell it, and they won't be thrashed. Brakes will be something you don't have to think or worry about during your years of tracking the car. You'll always have a good pedal, no heat issues, and total confidence in your brakes.

The alternative is throwing OEM replacement parts on the car more frequently...and at a greater cost (that's the worst part, that OEM pad shapes are more money than the shape for our kit). The OEM replacements burn up, and you get no return on them. You throw away the dead metal bits and start over every time. You also don't have worry-free brakes during that time period. You'll blow more time prepping, bleeding, swapping pads, and generally getting filthy at the track.

My estimate is that the average guy who tracks his car regularly will save enough money in two seasons to completely pay our system off. That doesn't even include all the intangible costs of time and potential problems. That's just straight savings on pads, discs, fluid, and resale value. The lengthy list of system benefits is just gravy.

I'm saying this as a track enthusiast, not a salesman. I'm trying to help, not sell. Anyone who has ever talked with me will back up that I'm a no-BS type of guy. I really hate to see people p*ss their money away since everything else associated with tracking a car is expensive (tires, event fees, travel, etc.). I've been going to the track with my cars since 1999 (Integra Type-R, 350Z, C5 Z06, NA Miata), and I've spent more money than I care to think about...lol.

The weight, money, time, and headaches you save with our Competition Systems make them the only logical answer if you have a little extra coin to spare up front. Just run the numbers and it becomes obvious.

If you guys want to keep burning up the OEM shapes however, I'm happy to keep selling them to you to keep my kids fed.
