We could ask the same question in another thread.

why not make a bunch of sticky threads and title them "exhaust questions" "wheel questions" "brake questions"
and everyones questions can get lost in there..

You know why i am pro-starting a new thread?

1: if you dont get on the forum often, you can look at what threads you have started, even handier when you post a lot of stuff, and you know what you have posted is about a subject, it is easier to find it if you started the topic compared to posted in a topic.

2: people have the same problem with people resurecting threads of days gone bye.

3: as a forum moderator you should be wanting more threads, more threads = busier forum which brings in more advertisers which means more MONEY!! (And saying that, I cant see any advertising...)

I have spent 13-15 years moderating car/car audio forums (take a look at Mobile Electronics Australia, there is 100's of threads that are similar)

Jumping into every thread and telling people to search makes the site seem more unfriendly..

And honestly, does it make much difference if someone starts a new thread? It's not the end of the world Just encourages new conversation, new info and newer members to post in them.

Anyway, ill shut up now.

Just so we have everything straight here, I am a moderator of the Southeast Region. I do not moderate Technical Topics, so I can't make any changes here. If you go to the bottom of the sub-forum, you will see who are moderators in this area.

1) That is a good idea. The problem its beneficial to one person. Could you imagine what this section looked like if say a 50% of our 23K members did this? And even more, did this for every intake, every exhaust, every Turbo Kit etc.. etc..? Do you think that would be a good forum to check? I think not.

2) There is a reason why people get upset at new threads being created about the same stuff. Redundancy. When you visit the forum, you don't want to have 3-4 threads on the same topic to then be able to read something new.

3) More threads of NEW content are great. New threads of same content gets majority of people annoyed.

You can read every exhaust recommendation thread, and they will all look the same as far as choices. There is really no reason to start a new thread when there are plenty. What is the problem with using an existing one? Its cleaner and more organized that way.

It does make difference in cleanliness. Also, of course its not the end of the world. That is why I was polite and not mad or anything about the OP's question.

BTW, not mad at you or anything. Its good to see a different point of view.

What sounds good to one person, may not to the others. I hate to say but it you need to do some research, listen to video's and narrow your choices. If possible go to local meets to hear setups in person.

Is it illegal loud i was considering getting it with the catless front pipe. How bad and loud can it actually be. Is the q300 really a better option.

Might check the Injen one too, haven't heard in person but it looks really good. Catback is a cosmetic mod as much as performance if you consider sound part of the cosmetics.

I can't link threads as I'm on the phone but there's a few videos here. It's extremely deep and not too loud at idle but great when you open it up.

So who's got a catback that makes the the BRZ sound like a Carrera GT??

More seriously, based on the videos, I find most of these aftermarket units just make the twins sound worse - more blatty, crude, and ugly. I guess there is no way to make the sounds more refined because of engine design limitations or someone would have done it by now...

Try and find someone close who has Nameless exhaust. It just sounds awesome.
