Pretty much every car will do just over 60 in second. If you needed to be in third gear the extra shift would kill the 0-60 time, if first and second were super tall that would hurt 0-60 times as well. Either way it would be bad for sales, even in stuff like minivans etc.

yeah, but the STI requires a 3rd shift, and I figured this car would have similar ratios to the STI. I think it will get decent 0-60 times, probably in the low 6s, with the 3rd shift it probably would've been high 6s. Just another reason 0-60 times are useless.

USDM STI yes, requires a shift to third. Unless you have a JDM EJ207 and it will do it in 2 Gears. I love my EJ207, best Subaru engine ever made.

Nope, I wish. But a buddy of mine from college does. What a great engine. If a swap is easy enough, I will probably throw the EJ207 in the FRS/BRZ after warranty is up.

Haha, I was thinking more along the lines of JIMP.

I said in the other thread I liked the silver in the BRZ less than the black in the 86.. I'm kinda starting to think the other way now. The silver isn't bad, a little classier, and the two tone is a nice touch. I don't see how these cars could differ in price much though. Nothing about one or the other looks much more upscale.
