I was planning on fitting my PDX 4.100 and 1.600 under the seats as they've been in previous cars, but there was no way they were going to fit the BRZ without hacking something or raising the seat (as -max- mentioned).

I now have a single PDXV9 on a hinged carbon fiber amp rack in the recessed space right under the rear deck lid.

There's about 3-4 inches of space, so a 2 inch amp will definitely fit. Any ideas of what can hold the amp in the foam under the seat? I'm thinking some kind of anchor like a drywall anchor.
I wonder if the FRS has different seat-floor spacing, because I have 1.8" of space under my seats....

I can tell you that a Kicker Hideaway doesn't fit. It's only 3-1/8" high. Not much space down there.

It is mounted right side up, screwed directly to the floor. Raised the rear of the seat with some washers.
There is room under the middle of the seat, but if you want to slide the seat up to get to the rear seat, you need to raise the rear a little.
Or you could put it under the drivers seat and just jack it up when you need rear seat access.

Hmm I think I might just bolt it too the floor also. thanks for the idea.

It seems there is way more room under the frs seats (at least in my car )

Why aren't you considering putting an amp in the trunk? As long as you aren't buying a massive amp you can fit one underneath the trunk carpeting by removing the foam or you could buy a small amp and molt the foam to fit it perfectly.
