Where did you order them from? I want a set but I don't want to pay $100+ to import them. I figured some would eventually make their way to a stateside store for a lower price.

Injen Intake (need to wait until I get some more mileage on the car)
May I recommend against the Injen intake. Lots of problems reported here on the forums related to CEL's and stalling, possibly due to running a bit too lean on the stock tune. The Injen reportedly makes good noise, but the open faced design takes in heat from the header/radiator at idle. I have an Airaid, and the filter is fully shielded, which I think is a good design, but not ideal. The Airaid was a good price, makes a bit of power and good noise, but I'd still go with either
FA20club:

or Perrin's:

to be released very soon. They both feature a filter outside the engine bay, under the bumper cover. I'll bet they will make more power on a dyno without a tune (with the hood closed) than the others that are out so far. They will both also offer a tune for their intakes that should make the most of them.

I'm going to install them today. I got them from a vendor member on here (Carson Toyota - Luis). I think they were $100 +$6 shipping. Probably the best price you will get on some OEM ones. I'm sure DEPO will make them for $30 a pair here pretty soon, but I hate the orange look, so whats $100.

Thanks, I'll look into those intakes, I want something black (matte) and sort of OEM looking. I'm only at around 600 miles so I'll wait until I get around 2K or so.

I hear you about the matte black intake. Thankfully I'm pretty sure Perrin and FA20Club will offer them in black or matte black. I forgot one other intake with a similar design from Vigilant Motorsports, also matte black: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22625 looks pretty nice!

I ran out for a lunch break today and decided to install the OEM JDM Clear Side Markers (in the post office parking lot).

Comparison vs Stock (Same size, just an odd angle. The clear version has an area that protrudes out, makes it look a little more aggressive I suppose)

On the car:

I'm waiting to receive some LEDs that light up amber. With the stock bulbs it looks similar to how a Christmas light would look. If the surface was more translucent, I'd keep it but it has some transparent aspects so it looks a little like a Christmas light.

I like where this is going!!!

For the tails, I'd recommend using BOTH a soldering iron with a bent knife edge tip and a dremel with a small cutting wheel to separate the chrome bezels from the housings. The only location I'd use the soldering iron is under the "beauty cover" plastic shield, which is a tight spot that you may not be able to fit a dremel in. The rest if the way around I'd use a dremel simply because the iron is messy, slow and dangerous because you can easily slip and melt unwanted areas inside the housing. Ask me how I know. Make sure you cut carefully and at good angles and consistent line as you go around the outside of the housing, keeping constant reference of where the bezel is inside because you need to allow enough clearance for it to slide out after you separate the lens from the housing. It's difficult because of the odd shape and angles of attack you have to patiently double check while you cut. Also sealing them back up well is critical. Use permatex black adhesive silicone sealant in a caulk gun liberally.

I got this from (Dadhawk) on the forum.

Installed some new black/stealth exhaust tips.
DC Sports Stealth Series EX-1017B. $30 each from Pep Boys (I ordered online)

I figured for $60 what the heck, might as well try it out since I won't be buying an exhaust (maybe one day down the road).

Comparison vs Stock:

One side done:

Finished product (took about 10mins) sorry the angle of the sun might make it look a little funny:

Ordered::
Super Mini ELM327 Bluetooth OBD2 OBD-II CAN-BUS Diagnostic Scanner Tool
from [ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0090ZJPMK/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00"]Amazon[/ame]

CS Style Urethane Front Lip and Side Skirts

I also got 5 copies of Clayton Christensen's "[ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0062060244/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i01"]The Innovators Dilemma[/ame]" coming in. I plan to pass some out at work for Christmas. A great read for those in the business field.

Nice tips. I'm going with the Borla Exhaust myself.

I really like that front lip. I haven't seen them for sale that cheap yet. Looking forward to seeing it on your car. You'll probably convince me to get one, though I'll probably end up destroying it on some curb...

I like the sound of the Borla. If I go with an exhaust, I'll probably go that route. I'm a little too old to be driving around with an exhaust daily. I have a corporate job, so people would judge.

I've seen it on quite a few world rally blue BRZs and it looks great. I think it should look nice and flush with black. $170 shipped isn't bad. I was hoping to install it right before I get some coil-overs but I'm still waiting on the Eibach Multi-Pro R2s. I just hope it doesn't look funny with all that wheel gap and swallowing the tiny stock wheels. I like an aggressive OEM look, so once I lower the car, it's going to look mean.
