I would hope BMW doesnt use M1 to be honest...the M1 is the car that started the motorsports division within BMW and as such the badge does not belong on a 1-series car. Bring back the tii designation from 2002. I could still be built withn M but it would leave the M1 badge to a car that could actually compete with Audi's R8 or Ferrari's California, depending on if the want a GT car or a proper sports/track car

You ever driven an AE86 with a semi-stiff suspension?

Yeah, understeer is so much more fun than controlled oversteer.

And from a balance standpoint, its much more fun to be pulled around by the front of you car than to feel the power push you from the rear wheels.

Your turn.

You're apparently getting that I said a FWD is better than a RWD. I haven't said that, simply that a FWD can be extremely fun. I did say that driving a gutted K20 EG was more fun that spirited driving my S because, well frankly, it was. Dunno why you have to dispute that.

or TRD M Celica, EP82 Starlet GT Turbo, G201S Daihatsu charade detomaso, Mirage Cyborg ZR, Renault Megane, Corrado VR6, Golf GTI.... etc etc etc

The list goes on. I'm not an advocate of FWD, but you have to give respect and credit where due. FWD can be fun.

You caught on too quickly, blargh.

Of course its a pointless dispute, its an argument over 'pure' opinions. While most opinions can be countered by facts, an opinion of "whats fun" in terms of driving is completely subjective. If FWD is fun to you, then saying FWD is fun is correct. There is absolutely no way to dispute it other than for the sake of being argumenative and a complete douche-hole.

I was making an arguement out of it to see how far it would go. I like to see how far people will bicker with me on silly subjects sometimes.

if you wanna get philosophical, "fun" isn't subjective. the degree of how fun something is is what is subjective. the argument itself isn't pointless, it's only pointless if you find fun as being subjective, then the idea of even starting the argument shouldn't even exist.

The last fun FWD was the '00 ITR, at least here in the US.
the last ITR was in 01. lol i'm a ITR fanboy.

the CR-Z looked appealing at first, but after reading the specs in the leaked brochure, its weaker than the cars Honda used to make, and being that it's a hybrid, i'm not too sure if people would be able to swap out for Honda's older conventional engines.
I'm still gona go test drive it anyway.

I was also interested in it but the specs are kind of disappointing. Like you I still want to test drive it

Notice in my post that I used two words in one same sentence: opinion, and subjective.

"an opinion of "whats fun" in terms of driving is completely subjective".

From straight conversion as of now it would be around 28k USD (I got this number from the vtec.net). That is too pricey.
