Yeah, I live in California and I can also confirm that my BRZ Limited has heated side mirrors and they work surprisingly well and quickly.

Canadian FR-S .. has heated mirrors. Activates with rear-window defrosters.

I am also interested in this topic. I don't have the time or expertise to investigate it right now, but I would be greatly appreciative if some other forum-goer came up with a relatively plug-n-play solution for getting side mirror defrosters in my US-spec FR-S.
Thanks in advance

I have a BRZ limited and live in Washington state. I don't have a button for heated mirrors on the door, so was this not optioned on my car? I thought heated mirrors come with all limited models.

They come on when you put your rear defrost on.

You do not need a separate button. Mirrors are wired to the same switch as rear window defroster.

The BRZ Limited in the USA comes with a Rear Defroster, Heated Mirrors, Heated Seats and Heated Wiper Blades standard. The BRZ Premium and the FR-S only come with a Rear Defroster and none of the other stuff.

If you do not need connection, just wrap wires in good electrical tape (3M works best).

SO you're saying the heated option exists for US 2013 Scion FRS and it is simply is not connected? I have the opposite issue- I want the heated mirrors to work but unless mine are really crap- they are not connected to the rear defrost. How to connect and where? Thanks. |
