My previous car was tC2. I can say for sure that tC2 manual trans had more clunking than FR-S. Compared to tC2 manual trans, FR-S manual trans is so smooth. I can say this trans is the smoothest trans I've driven.

I don't have any mechanical issues with FR-S. I have only minor issues like tail light condensation (you wouldn't have this problem since it's already handled at the factory line) and rear deck popping noise (there should be an easy fix by the time you get this problem). But if you have no issue with your tC1 and don't have a reason that you have to switch the car now, I'd recommend you to wait for a little longer until you stop seeing many problems popping up. But to me, FR-S feels much better to own and it was worth for me to get it even if there are chances I get problems.

I drove an '07 tc for a couple of years.. it feels like a Camry compared to the FR-S. If you want more sportiness, trade the tc in immediately! The only person(s) who'll regret it are the ones unfortunate enough to have to ride in your back seats.

You however, will be

That's an apt description, and it makes sense, given that it's a Camry engine sitting in the Euro Camry chassis (Avensis).

Has it been confirmed there will be an RS version, and if so, when will it be released?

NO. Don't bother with this. From the video review I saw, it seems, to me, like it's a complete and utter waste of money. I'm not one to care about an upgraded deck, so I have my stock unit with no plans of swapping it out any time soon.

Only confirmation I've heard is that, "It's a Scion and there's always a RS version."

Pretty sure I watched the same review, and he mostly focused on it's use as a GPS unit... I don't care about this part. The bespoke just looks better imo. As long as it functions well, and could possibly support android phones in the near future, I'm leaning towards that upgrade.

I use an ipod for music so as long as I can hook that up to the bespoke, and make my song selections through the head unit instead of through the ipod, I'll be happy.

I'm just worried because I'm so pleased with the tc unit right now and I dont want bespoke to be a step backwards in terms of functionality.

Keep your TC people... it is by far superior to FR-S.
I see so many tc, can not stand the thought of that happening to FR-S.

I totally agree 100%. Your TC is still pretty new and just keep it for now. Read up more reviews from current FR-S owner to see if there are issues here and there before making the decision. Or consider the new TC instead.

I have the stock stereo and it's the same stock stereos in all Scions I think. Imo the $900 price tag for an extra 40 watts and LCD screen was not worth it so I didn't get it. Remember that the stock stereo is 300W... very impressive for stock and it sounds very nice.

I've seen other people on this forum install an aftermarket stereo like this: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-AVH-P8400BH-Multimedia-Widescreen-Bluetooth/dp/B006Y442AU"]Amazon.com: Pioneer AVH-P8400BH 2-DIN Multimedia DVD Receiver with 7" Widescreen Touch Panel Display, Advanced App Mode, Built-In Bluetooth, and HD Radio™: Electronics[/ame]

I might be getting that as an early Christmas present for myself. Even with installation cost, i'm sure it's going to be cheaper and a better option than the Bespoke system.

Yeah after thinking about it more, I think going stock and maybe later upgrading to another unit seems like the way to go.
