This post doesn't make a lot of sense to me, to be honest. More headroom is always good. Sonically, in a properly set up car audio system, 2 subs will very nearly always be better than one. There are obviously other negatives (space, weight, etc.), but "noise" quite simply isn't one of them.

quick question, how much did you pay for the 3 - way setup? I see some on ebay for around $600, donno if that is for both sides or just one side

From what i was told they actually are subwoofers. Just not ideal. Never tested out to see if it actually played music or just bass, but it did shake the hell out of the doors.
