Everyday Driver: FRS vs Genesis Coupe vs Lotus Elise - Page 2 - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

This is the first Everyday Driver review I've seen where they pretty much agree. They both ranked the Genesis last for not being a "drivers' car" the way the other two are. Then they agreed that among the remaining cars, the Elise is more raw and wild, while the FR-S is the better daily driver.

In many ways, it's pretty much what you'd expect going in. I doubt many cars short of an Ariel Atom or MX5 cup car will surpass the Elise in terms of how visceral the driving experience is. As good as the FR-S is, it was never going to beat the Elise in that regard.

Wow, I'm blown away by this versus review. I love these guys. I love how Todd always makes comparisons with cars and women. I love how Paul is always so optimistic. You guys are probably bitchin' about the long run time on this video review. But for someone who hasn't purchased their FRS yet, more content = FANTASTIC!! I just feel that with the longer run time, it allowed this video to be more intimate. Although I didn't care to hear much about the Genesis because I've already cut it from my car purchasing list after a test drive at my local dealer.

I agree fully! Between these guys and Motor Trend, I find fulfillment in my auto review needs.

I think this is the last of the big reviews of the 2013 FS/BRZ/GT86. On to 2014!

I'm impressed with this review. They articulate how the cars feel very well and they remain quite logical and lucid. Two thumbs up from me. Thanks for sharing!

I highly recommend the "50 years of 911" by these guys on Bluray for 19.99. Its 84 minutes--twice as long as the one on Velocity ch-- plus includes 16 owner's chats with them on each of the models as they drive plus this FRS comparo is on it and a Cayman S review.
