I second the RS4, they're very predictable and grippy. RS4 for track, BFGoodrich SportComp 2 for daily. I hate RE71R btw.

I managed to get my hands on a set of 225 RT660's that had only been used for a single autocross event.



I also test-fit a 245/40R17 Goodyear Racing Eagle RS, but it's more like a 255, so with 17x8 +48 it hit the front spring perch. I threw some spacers on there to get a sense of what offset I'd need and it really looks like +35 is the only way to get those things to fit comfortably (9mm of spacers gave it a pretty narrow clearance). 8" wide wheels as opposed to 8.5" narrowed the section width by 1/8" vs their databook.
