In Toronto we are at approx. 1.48 CDN$/ litre for 91 octane (best fuel we have for this car). I think that is in the range of $5.20 USD/ US gallon or $5.55/ imperial gallon.
Regarding biofuel, that will be one of the remaining viable hydrocarbon fuel options when petroleum oil is depleted. Oil took millions of years to make, and approx. a century to deplete. I have read there is good potential in farming algae to produce fuel as well. Unfortunately everything has it's pros and cons and burning combustible fuel does not slow down greenhouse gasses. At least we do posess the ability to produce hydrocarbon fuel from readiy available agro products. In Brazil all vehicles run on Ethanol, as I understand it. Corn and peanuts are the only 2 foods that miraculously re-assemble themselves in your bowel

There may be a small difference on 93 AKI.
And you're right, E10 is absolute crap! The E85 is the good stuff.

I guess we here in BC are lucky, as the Chevrons carry 94 with no ethanol in it.

In AB, we don't have any 94 here without ethanol. It's either 91 V-Power, or Supreme 94 with ethanol. At least in Edmonton, I don't know about Calgary.
