In gearbox? One should be more careful with oil change and not to put too different from spec imho. There are many oil properties that are important. Oil doesn't need just to oil gears at specific temps with specific viscosity, it also needs to provide specific level of friction in synchros, It's not simple "higher number is better". If we need to GL4 as specced by manufacturer, GL5 .. i'd double check. At most i'd consider motul 300 gear oil, double specced for both GL4 & GL5.

Well... I'll run it for now. The local import shop sold the Motul 300, but they didn't have it in stock so this came at the mechanics recommendation. But if it is actually bad for it, I'll guess I'll be posting an update in a little while detailing my findings. I've taken the trans apart once! How bad could it be again? Lol
