Another issue:
Power steering won't wire up to the kseriesparts harness, and when I've attempted to take the steering rack motor off, it's sealed on a bearing and won't move. I'm going to make the rack manual and swap in a manual rack and adapt it to the u-joint towards the firewall |

The rack in the car is already a manual rack. The power steering motor can just be removed from the equation.

It's been posted by people have raced/driven without the P/S that the manual rack is not setup to be driven manually and is too difficult to steer with.

Yeah the effort required would be a definite workout. It may be able to be used with a gear device like a quick steer coupler reversed to make more turns lock to lock. It would lighten effort needed at the wheel. Just a thought.

Yeah I ran with the fuse out once just to see how it was and it is incredibly difficult to drive. I driven plenty of PS cars with belts removed and they are fine once rolling but not the Twins. The ratio is way to high to go without PS. |

K24, let's do this. TheVTEC86

The motor is really easy to remove. My EPS coupler DIY explains how to remove the column which lets you drop/rotate the motor down so you can access the two bolts that hold it on. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=133606 It will be impossible to drive without EPS though. |
