Can you tell me the largest speaker size that can be used to replace the back ones?

Sub'd
looking forward to seeing how this comes out. I actually thought about going inverted with my sub also, as its 6 1/2" deep. Its either that or find something shallow enough to fit.

I honestly didn't take any measurements when I was back there - next time I take the quarters off I'll report back.

The Alpine's I have are about 7-7 1/2" deep - they will fit normally in the deepest part of the spare tire well but it would be tight - otherwise I'd have to raise the floor higher than stock. I'm curious how my inverted subs in the corners will sound - they've been in a ported box since day 1 so I'm not expected to be blown away just for the sheer fact it's going to be sealed now.

Finished the wooden frames for the fiberglass this morning. Unfortunately it is insanely hot out today and I don't foresee myself actually getting started with a layer of fiberglass today. Ugh - hopefully it cools off soon but the humidity is rough right now.

See the first post for pics of the wooden frames. Also, this car just keeps getting better and better! Both sides of this car are perfectly symmetric! I've never worked on a car where both sides of the trunk were the same - it's always been some computer, fuel fill up, abs lines, or spare tire in the way.

I think you'll be okay - it'll be tight but would work right down into the spare tire well. The subs I have are about 7 1/2" deep - you can see in the pic I posted how much higher the floor would need to be.

If you still have your door panels off could you take close up pictures of the bulb socket and bulb of the door still light. Also could you take a close up picture of the harness for the bulb socket at the Tee in the harness. I wanted to know if the wires for the light are tied into the wires at the Tee or if they continue down into the loom. Sorry for thread jacking its just that only BRZ limited cars have that harness. Premium BRZ and FR-S don't have that part of the harness. So Its nice finding a person that has the limited and the door panels off.

Good luck with the build. Thanks

He is going to do it face down.. he was showing it face up to show how much higher the floor would need to be.

My JL 6s will be here next week. When they come in I'll be taking the door panel off again and I'll try and grab you some pics.

To be honest I'm not sure if there's any other solution if you want 2 12" subwoofers while maintaining at least some trunk space. So far it's working very well.

Today marks the day when all the fiberglassing is over!! Thank god because it stinks and I forgot just how awful it is to work with that stuff. I finished the boxes with about 6 layers of fiberglass mat and finished the top plate.

All that's left to do is T-nuts for the sub screws and mount the L-brackets to ensure the box mounts securely to the car. I'm starting to get super excited! All that's really left to do is mounts for the amps and the false floor.

See first post for pics.

Subs are mounted - man it sounds incredible! I put a youtube video on the first post (although I'm never sure how much use the farting sounds are).

I'm in a little bit of a predicament though as I have no clue where to put these amps - I didn't think they were that big until I put them in this car ...dam - I'll have to figure something out.
