Hence why I said if I get serious I'll get the license... Which is also why I figured banking off to autox within scca would be the xp part. After looking into it further, I'm not worried about NASA competition license and that level of racing for a bit.

I know I can't have a 'best' autox while having a drag monster, that's not what I'm after. I guess I'm just wondering if the 86 platform can pull good 1/4 ETs/traps for it's power/weight at the goals I'm looking at, while at the same time being able to take advanced mapping from the motec ecu system with the proper tune to make it more suited for autox. Or, conversely, if the 370 is better suited for that kind of back and forth. After doing more research, it does seem like building the VQ would be less expensive, but by much is hard to say. |
