from wikipedia:
"The 2000GT made its most famous screen appearance in the 1967 James Bond movie You Only Live Twice. Even though the car was never commercially available as a convertible, two were made specially for the film. However, they did not have roofs, just an upholstered hump at the rear of the cabin to simulate a folded top, and therefore were not really true convertibles." still, they were dead sexy.. toyota sports 800 had a targa top as well and a boxer engine!!! http://sciencebastards.com/img/0004/65800-1.jpg |

i wouldn't buy a convertible, but i'm sure a lot of people would. i like S2000's and MR-S's, but since this car has been designed as a coupe already, i'd want mine that way.

i think the convertible would look sweet-- not for me, but still look nice. they may even rip out the back seats for the retract-roof; who knows?

IMO convertibles are gross but if it helps them sell this car then by all means offer it.

Toyota Technocraft SW20, maybe?
I'm no a fan of convertibles unless they have a rollcage. |

Ehhh... I thought Tada already said this and a cabriolet were being considered... not news.
I'd put this one at only 25% likely. The Z has a convertable, so they might want to compete with that, but they also built a prototype XYR convertable that never happened. A targa top would be cool, but has anyone gone for that look post 1990? |

imo targa top is the best of any of the available "non-hardtop" options.
I'm a bit biased since I owned an '89 Supra Targa.

Targa is a great option. Maybe not with a base model though..
