Routing of this is going to be a serious bitch unless you incorporate the overpipe into the design. The bend at the connection from the passenger side ports to the outlet is going to be horrifically tight, iirc. Might need to be Schedule 10 short radius cast SS. And for what? You'll be sacrificing power for sound. Course it'll probably sound pretty damn cool. :-)

I still want to see somebody take a crack at it. Thus far everyone who has asked us to build one hasn't even owned a BRZ or FR-S.

Good news.

Just got the car back from measuring up and analysis of the exhaust.
The exhaust guru thinks he can not only improve the sound but it will flow better than the stock header, so more power. The plan is to use a Euro 4 cat so that it will be a direct bolt-in application and not throw CELs or fail emissions tests. We will make a prototype which I'll drive around for a week or two to confirm there aren't any unexpected issues. We'll then dyno it back-to-back against the stock headers to see what difference it makes. I'll also get videos of the sound.

For those wondering, it'll be a 4-2-1 system.

It will probably be a week before I have the prototype. I'm sure it'll feel like a long time as I'm so keen to get my hands on it.

Whilst we were at it I got him to make me a 'track pipe'. OMG it's a work of art! 100% stainless with a nice tip. Can't wait to see the prototype headers which will also be stainless. His welding is top notch.
