Lava really is the best paint color... Until you open a door or look under the hood. Red/black interior clashes and the engine bay is brown.

She bought me the car.

It was scheduled to go in twice and I cancelled both times since I was going to be away. I am getting a free day of PDR training out of the deal so want to be there when the 100 or so small dings get fixed. That way I can buy the right tools and be able to deal with door dings on my own moving forward.

Thanks man! I started to settle on a different color, even briefly considered the release 2.0 with it's concrete color with nice black/orange accented interior, but in the end I had to have my lava back. Same thing happened three years ago, came super close to puling the trigger on an asphalt BRZ Premium but didn't care the FRS didn't have the interior accoutrements, by gosh I wanted orange!

Funny thing is that if I had walked into the Scion dealership and there had been a white or black one in the showroom instead of my car I probably would have looked at it and thought "cool car" then walked back to the Mitsubishi dealer climbed in my Lancer and drove away never even considering buying one.

Mine are beat up but not replacement beat up. There are plenty of salvage Lavas around here as well. For a bright colour they seem to get hit a lot.

Toyota really knocked it out of the park by offering orange as a color; a shame they stopped and went with more mundane color choices. Even the 860 sunset orange doesn't have the same flair as hot lava.

My poor old car was hit 3 times prior to the 4th one taking it out! Every time, sitting still.

I wonder if orange tends to go invisible when not in motion?

RS-2 is old fart color. Lame. I'm sure you're happy you held out.

I'm going to have to disagree with that, the 860 had the most unique orange I've ever seen on the road. Hot lava is my second favorite though.
