If it's a fact, link your source. Otherwise, it's your own speculation. Just because it's a trend for cars to be heavy doesn't mean all of them are. There are still a handful of lightweight cars out there, and more are being developed. Hell, look at the new Hyundai Veloster. It's less than 2600.

Subaru also got their new Impreza to below 3000 lbs. Hopefully we'll see more of this trend. I think we just need to get used to these kinds of posts. High-horsepower junkies will always make up a good chunk of the auto enthusiast community. It's when people start to put this CONCEPT car into a box of what they think it SHOULD be and then realize it doesn't line up with what SPECULATIVE news seems to say that we hear the whining on the boards.

I'm gonna make a revised statement,
Horsepower, handling, inexpensive. Pick 2. the corvette has hp and handles well but sure as hell ain't cheap. The ft will be inexpensive and have exceptional handling with big power being the sacrafice.
