If I could make my BRZ as quiet as a Lexus I would be in heaven. My first act when I pulled the car in the garage the first time was to remove all the sound tube BS and plug the hole in the firewall.

I plugged mine on the test drive and never went back. While I don't mind some real engine/exhaust noise if required to make good power, fake piped in noise just for the sake of noise never appealed to me and I think in time these tubes will go the way of exhaust whistle tips. Wooo Wooo!!

Still don't get why people want to make a car that's already kind of loud louder. Almost everyone except those unfortunates who are totally deaf can hear loud sounds. The ability to hear soft beautiful things and detail disappears with age, usually, and exposure to loud sounds always. Hearing loss is permanent. Love your ears... they are miracles.

I plugged mine when I picked the car up. The salesmen thought I was nuts when I climbed in, pulled the plug out of the glove box and crammed it in a pipe in the floor.

I assume that, of course, you told him that you were covering up the dealer surveillance port, and that they'd be hearing from your attorney.

Actually I told them I was afraid of spiders coming out of it. I am not but the look on their faces was priceless.

I couldn't understand all the things written. I just want to say: I'm 43, and loved to do this:

The sound is clearly better now. I get more joy while driving. Anybody would tell me if there is a difference of sound between the red tube and the standard tube with no foam, is very appreciated. Thank you.
