The only difference I noticed from going from factory fill to Motul was a different feel. On stock fluid, the gear changes would feel and sound different. With motul the gears for me would glide more easily and have much less of a chunky sound. Even though I missed the way the stock fluid felt when fresh, the motul has allowed my shifts to be much faster. The slickness just allows the gears to be thrown easier.
Cold fluid has always been a problem. If its below 30 degrees then I usually have a warmup driving around slowly first before normal driving so that I get all the fluids circulated. |

The only difference I noticed switching to Motul is that shifts felt more mechanical or had more feedback. I wonder if Motul is slightly less viscous than stock fluid at certain temps (within the tolerance range of the 75w90 spec obviously). In any event, I haven't had any problems using Motul and will continue to use it.

I had the original oil in for 20k miles and then switched to AMS oil. The shifts were better, like everyone says about going away from the factory oil. Cold shifts were not a problem. At 40k I put Motul 300 in and have driven 10k miles since. Cold shifts are horrible. It was fine in the summer but once winter hit, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th were always difficult to get into when cold. So I am switching back. I believe it is fine for warm climates but not cold ones.

Had mine change, really no difference. You can pour liquid gold in the car but cold shifts are going to be rough regardless.

Like everybody said...it suck during cold weather..
I have problem everyday when shifting into R, I have to warm it up by shifting gear 1 to 6 before I can reverse... After it get warms up, its feels smoother especially downshift into 2nd gear. |
