That would be awesome! How are you able to get the actual production number?

If they planned to make 1500 but they're selling at a rate of 150/month, they'd stagger production so enough supply is allocated to dealers as to not gap out on shipments. No manufacturer in their right mind will make all 1500 "special edition" cars in one shot unless 1) it's all sold, or 2) it'll be sold in next 3 months. -alex |

Out of curiosity, do we have any information on how quickly Series.Yellow is selling compared to previous series? I looked at the inventory pages of several dealers around me, and most of them seem to have 1-2 Series.Yellow BRZs in stock. My general impression is that perhaps Yellow isn't selling as quickly as Hyperblue did, but you guys most likely have more insight into this.

1299 for my Series.Yellow
They definitely didn't make all 500 in one go, the assembly line has Toyotas and Subarus coming off at the same time, they'd just be mixed in the queue like any other car.

I emailed SOA a couple of weeks back and they said that there was no order, list or anything for the 500 Series.Yellows out there.
As of right now Cargurus has 132 Series.Yellows listed nationwide. When I bought my car in Feb the number was in the high 200's. So far this is the best method I have found to see how many are left. https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/invent...sModified=true I was under the impression that SOA made a majority of the Series. Yellow first. When I was shopping in January the dealership that had the 2017's had the Yellows and slivers/grays. I didn't see a lot of Blues and Reds until recently. But what do I know... |

Its first or last that would matter years from now, if anyone cares as these are not likely collectible cars. Any number in between won't matter much. My cousin had a yellow charger R/T from 2006 number 251 out of X number, when he sold it not much of a bump in price. Not trying to rain on your parade, just go enjoy your nice car.
