And yes, Opti Guard/Coat can be applied either before OR after clear bra. There is one clear bra I know for sure has trouble sticking to OG/OC, and that would be Expel Ultimate
Thank you so much! I wish you guys were here in South Florida so I could have mine done whenever I get it haha.

Great job!

The clear bra is only visible from a couple of feet from the car, if your looking for it! The disadvantages of it on a white car is that dirt can settle in the edges of the bra
and looks like a black line!! Since it was opticoated, it does seem a little easier to simply wipe it clean with some spray detailer and a soft towel. Too soon to tell how difficult it will be to keep it clean though!

Just out of curiosity... Why didn't they do the whole bonnet? With the car being so low stones will get thrown up everywhere...

I just got 3M's standard highway package. Doing the whole bonnet would be possible, but I just wanted to cover the most likely places that would get hit. Coming from a lowered miata, it was rare that I ever had even a small chip above the lower half of the hood.

It's a slippery slope and less is more in my opinion. Clearbras are just plastic and don't really shine/look as good as clean paint. I like the way my car looks and wanted to just protect problem areas without "hurting" the overall looks of the car. To each their own, though!!

Amen to that brother! Besides covering the entire bonnet may add too much undesired weight

The tape was applied during the polishing phase of Mike's detailing, prior to a final wash/opticoat. Sorry if the pics were misleading!!

I've been told that you should always get Clear-bra first and then opti coat over it. If you go reverse, the Clear-bra won't stick to the paint!!

Really considering an opti-coat for when I recieve my BRZ. I really want to keep my paint as fresh as possible throughout the life of this car, and this procedure seems to have no negative effects. How much for just an opti-coat on a BRZ, no clear bra, please?
