I still wouldn't classify that list as a BRZ STI. Add upgraded shocks/springs, bushings, bracing, etc. along with other changes between interior and exterior.

To me, an STI isn't a car that simply just has more power over the standard vehicle.

admittedly, a little generous on SC labor costs.
My point isn't the actual cost we can get the parts for.

Warranty cost is built into the parts as a whole. If someone wanted to offer an aftermarket package as yours and actually put it through engineering R&D, it'd be way more money and there would be plenty of other issues that one would run into.

There's a reason why things like transmission, differential, axles, and tires have torque ratings associated with them.

If you want to add 50 more HP to the car, go for it. But just because you can doesn't mean it can hold up to normal, average driver abuse for 3 years or 36k miles without issues. Plus, what percentage failure rate are you using as your basis for gauging a successful product? 5%? 3%? 10?

It's good but let's not just mock the lack of a "STi" version just because it doesn't have the extra power. If I wanted that power I'd drive a WRX.

You can probably ask the US Government, we pay for it.

$3 billion/yr in direct aid, and already another ~$40 billion of military aid in the next decade.

It can cost $10 billion over the course of 10 years and still not cost Israel a single dime, depending on who you ask and who does accounting.

This really isn't the appropriate place to be talking about this stuff.

Edelbrock warranties the ENGINE not the rest of the drivetrain. So good luck with that.

Only 3 days of rental car, and doesn't cover a hell of a lot. OEM warranty is far more valuable.

Not to mention it can't be extended at all, so it would be pointless for many people.

So what about years 4 and 5?

Basically with this setup you'd lose two years of OEM powertrain warranty if you slap it on a new car. I'd rather buy a used 2013 (oh wait, I had one of those!) and add the power items instead of wasting money on a new car with a Performance Package that I won't use very much.
