P.S.
I haven't tried alternative arm rests, but i guess if i find height of this just right, then those that are much thicker/higher, may have comfort position issues.
Also +1, girlfriend complains that its annoying to use the cup holder now. Which is true, but I always hated having anything in those cup holders other than a small can or cup of coffee because THAT would get in the way of my shifting.

PandaSPUR: cup holders in center console were unnoying to use when i had no armrest . They are just too far back, you have to divert your eyes from road and lean far to back to get coffee mug from there. I just left that plastic cup holder at home for one thing less to bring around without use.
And yes, if there are cups/mugs with drinks, more probably yes then not you'll hit them with elbow when rowing through gears.
Luckily! - bottle holders in doors are at way better position, and that's what i suggest to use, at least with thermal no-spill coffee mugs. They are not advised to be used for paper coffee or coke cups, but i rarely have need for that.

Other then that, real easy to install. Just take your time when drilling the holes.
Thanks for the tip, I'm having Toyota do it anyway so if anything goes wrong they'll just have to fix it.
