Actually, header is a term created by the aftermarket referring to aftermarket exhaust manifolds. The stock manifold is not a "header" despite the incorrect usage of the word.

LOL. I guarantee you that my setup is quieter than 90% of the setups on here. Mr. I-asked-this-same-question-a-half-dozen-times.

I have the JDL uncatted UEL and the love rumble I get with my header back setup (2.5" JDL over and midpipe, which is catted to the 3.0" Perrin resonated catback). Sounds amazing and I'm currently sitting at just under 190 whp and a consistent power band with no torque dip at all. Quiet at normal freeway and street speeds but really comes alive during WOT. Check out my Instagram @Ragua007 and there's an autocross video from the beginning of June where you can hear the sound pretty good.

For Street Non-FI? UEL, sounds sexy. But if you go FI, then EL would benefit from it much, especially Turbo.

from 0 to 3000rpm, uel is better but after 3000rpm, its actually slower and lose top end power. El is better, its steady from 0 to 3000rpm but the extra power kicks in at 4000 to redline. so it comes down to sound (uel) vs horsepower ( el ). i chose el for more power over a sound.

This is a simple question,
1 Power = EL 2 Subie Rumble = UEL

My catted el was no louder than stock. Just a little soft below 3k rpm. That was 3 yrs ago so the tunes are probably better now.
