My 3D maxspider (sp?) floormats are already torn in the heel part underneath the pedals. It doesn't really look the tear will go all the way to the floor, but I'm not sure. I've only had the mats for about 9 months also. I figured these mats would last a long time, but I guess not

@JD001 well remember that your right heel is going to be on the outside as opposed to the interior tunnel, so it's probably the orientation difference that makes it where you don't have problem.
@krayzie Very interesting that the BRZ mats aren't cut the right size. Are there any threads / measurements / pics to confirm this?

The mats are large with big fixings near the car seat rails. I have experienced poorly fitting mats but they have been aftermarket stuff.

I've mentioned about this on here years ago. I sold off the North American BRZ carpets already.

Easiest way to see is to compare your stock carpets with the FRS ones. The FRS front carpets are much longer wider, and cover right upto the parameter of the flooring, exactly the same cutout as my European BRZ carpets and fit perfectly.

The North American BRZ carpets are a tad small in comparison and way too stiff due to the rubber bottom so they don't really sit flush at the edges (not sure if this is the root cause of your issue). I've wrote to SOA already but they don't seem to care.
