I'm sure I'm reading too much into your post but you seem like a nice and soft spoken person, So the dealership thinks you're buying their explanation that everything is ok (and maybe they're right). If you really believe after your own research that you have real problems that the dealer isn't addressing, get SOA involved.

Also, where I live, the Toyota dealerships are notorious for this sort of shit while the Subaru dealer is very legit. Just in contrast to the people suggesting you get a 2017 GT86.

Appreciate all the responses. seems like sales and service don't really work together. I work in a hospital, so I just assumed everyone under the same roof would be a team haha.

Fortunately I don't have DI seal issues as I thought, it was just my CAI sucking in air. So no need to worry about that.

My engine leak, or seepage, though is something I want addressed and in the past I didn't push it because I figured I have two more years of warranty left, now it's down to one and a half. The furthest extent of my effort in fixing that was going to different dealerships, then speaking with the tech to have them explain why it isn't going to be fixed.

Will definitely try going up the chain on my next visit.

I definitely plan to keep the car now, it just makes financial sense and I love driving it. After checking out the 2017, it's not really worth getting back into another four years of payments.
