I would say the Twins are not the reincarnation of the Dino only because I wouldn't (and didn't have to) sell my kidneys and my wife to get a BRZ whereas I'd seriously consider it for a nice Dino.

If Ferrari ever made modern reincarnation of the Dino, it would have to be the Alfa 4C. Both are italian mid-engined 4 bangers, with similar weight and dimensions. Aside from the obvious differences, the little Alfa definitely captures the spirit of the Dino in terms of the raw driving experience. Not to mention FCA owns both Ferrari and Alfa Romeo.

I love my FR-S, I think it is an absolutely beautiful car.

Put a Dino beside it (or most vintage Pininfarina Ferraris) and the FR-S looks ugly

Albeit they do have similar histories in that both cars were marketed as lower priced "affordable" sports cars targeted to less affluent enthusiasts.

You have a problem with my opinion? You can like new Ferraris if you wish, I won't go around saying its wrong, I can however disagree.

Its also not good to make a judgement without full context.

"What this picture does tell me though is that Ferrari of today has forgotten how to make a beautiful car."

For you, it might be different.

I see a much closer relation to this car: size, purpose and Japanese origin.

If anything, the FRS/BRZ is the 240sx Nissan refuses to build. I owned a 91 240sx for 7 years, and I can say without a doubt that my BRZ is the spiritual successor to that, except with a MUCH better chassis.

Yup, but those classic looks and the sound of that I6 are pretty special. Love the 240
