"What if" & "rumor said" is never ending.

They make hybrid/turbo/awd/whatever down the future, but you bought current FR-S/BRZ/86? If you really want the new one, trade it in. Simple as that

What if Subaru never agreed to work on the Zx6.......What if Toyota decided to still make it. What if they used a Toyota engine.... and what if it was sold as a Toyota in the states.... The car would be more expensive yes. But I would have loved to see what the end product would have been.............. only in my dreams.......... only in my dreams.

That being said! I fucking love my FR-S! haha, good job Toybaru!

With a higher tuned version of the FA20 and equipped with electric motor to boost HP and Torque, I can see it having 250-280HP combined and possible 50% more torque, but at a penalty of about 100kg increase in weight.

Remember, Toyota do have experience using their Hybrid tech to increase performance. ie GS450h and LS600h.
this kinda hybrid isnt toyota's style. toyota uses the power split style.

Yes, and it may come whether we like it or not. The 2016 model year CAFE requirement rises from 27.5 mpg to 37.8 mpg according to this article:

No what we need are electric turbos.

This sounds pretty much like what everyone is expecting from the BMW/Toyota team up.
