I was the only 86 there today for the AutoX, quite unusual to be the only frs/brz out... last weekend I was at the ddt and there had to be at least a dozen there...

It was honestly too hot for me today.

How was the drive back south though? Hell like usual?

I'm in Oshawa, I never take the 400's to get to Barrie I go up lakeridge to davis, yonge and work my way up that way, never a traffic issue in either direction for me.

We were also done 7 runs by 3 pm too, so it was early enough I think the 400 may not have been too bad.

SJD, what is a (CASC-OR Regional Event)? Is it still open to the public? I see there are two back to back events in July. I would like to attend one.

Sorry, I missed your post. 10 straight days of work meant very little forum time.

The CASC-OR Regional Series is a province wide autoslalom tour and this is the first two of the three TLMC stops.

Everyone is welcome for 1 event or both events! Pre-registration (but not pre-payment) is mandatory though.

Didn't look like you did! surprised we didn't see a better showing from the s2k's today, the miatii sure liked it... placing 1 thru 5... sure hope the rumours of new pax classification for the twins come through for next season


Oh yeah and come out the the whitby event labour day weekend if you can. OMSC puts on a good event and even includes free bbq with your registration. (and better toilet facilities than them northern folks in barrie)

Not sure if you remembered but I wasn't driving my S2000 - I swapped rides with Colin and drove his 4C and made a mockery of it lol:

Oh yeah I noticed, (Jealous) was just commenting on the placings of the s2k's I thought they would do better.

I am surprised too given how quick the course was but it was also quite tight giving the Miatas slightly more edge especially in the bus stop to the stop box section. That area near the end of the day was quite a workout!

I was extra surprised Curt in his CR S2000 couldn't get it locked in.

In some ways, while I am extremely grateful to have been able to drive the 4C, I kinda wished I could have done my S2000 as well to see how I stack in course like this.

Still, the 4C was fantastic - total inverse of my car (torque down low, manual steering, much wider) so the learning curve was especially steep for me. Everything I do with the S2k I had to do backwards (brake earlier, wrench the wheel).

I barely fit in it though - had to hunch over to make sure I wouldn't scratch the roof liner with my helmet.

But the sound... the glorious sound...
