looks intriguing but im pretty sure the dyno numbers are over inflated. I'm sure the snorkel design will suck in so much water and flood the engine when it rains in Vancouver.

Always want a ram air intake.....without paying 1k premium to import one from the land of rising sun. (one that actually give you gains..)

I Installed it on my brz coming from their SRI. Install was a PITA, takes way to much space in the engine bay and sounds exactly the same as the SRI. Snorkel that hangs from behind the bumper does hold water in it and if your conscious of it swallowing water into your engine I definitely wouldn't go this route. With that being said, Throttle response does feel better with a pleasant sound when you step on it + shift gears.

Planning to dyno the car to see how much more hp/tq it makes?

Yes,
unfortunately I don't have a stock run to compare too after wards. I will most likely do it in a month or so as I am also looking at getting headers, front pipe and overripe. I have a custom tune from Ft86 but that's only the exhaust and intake. I don't know the numbers it's pushing now.

Does anybody have thoughts on the Gruppe-s Headers vs the Tomei? I would go with the same brand for the front and overripe as I don't like mixing.

Sorry I'll create a thread for that question else where, don't want to jack the point of this thread.

They are almost identical in terms of build quality and design.

Would drilling small holes in the bottom of the scoop fix any of the water issues, or would that potentially muck up the efficiency of the intake?

Most likely will ruin the efficiency as you will then have air flow pressure pushing and escaping through the drilled holes. I think....

Haha. It does, but I prefer a clean spacious engine bay. The SRI gave it plenty of room to breath and made other parts of the engine easily accessible. I was thinking of leaving the included air scoop and adding the SRI to see how it would perform. Changing the filter on this thing is also a Pita along with getting the snorkel to fit right on the manifold. Once I dyno I'll see if there is a major difference between the above stated setups.

Can you post some more pictures of it? How close it is to the oil filter, etc. Just closer up, overhead shots of the engine bay. Thanks!
