Using Stop and Shop reward points we paid $.60/gal at Shell last week. We had $1.60/gallon discount built up. It was fkn awesome filling the Durango from dead empty for $14.40! I was so happy I took a picture on my phone, it was the lowest price I've ever paid for gas in my life.

Even back in the early 60s, I can remember these "non-gas war" prices.

Ha Ha ha
I'm surprised nobody figured it out. This was a SHELL station.
The thing I forgot to mention was that I had a Winn Dixie fuel perks card worth $1.60 per gallon. You're allowed to get up to 20 gallons.

So Ha Ha I wasn't even driving the FR-S. I was driving my VW. So I could carry 3 five gallon gas cans. So I could get my full 20 gallons.

Thanks to everyone for playing.

Happy April.

Yeah well you're old

I'm only sort of old

I remember my dad telling me why he got a Rambler American instead of something interesting for his first car in college. He said gas prices had gotten crazy and went over 25 cents a gallon...

Is OP serious "is shell good gas?" They are one of like 3 of the largest oil companies in the world... yeah, their gas won't make your car explode

LOL I am sure more than one of figured you were up to something right from the get go. The give away for me was when you wanted to tip the car to drain it. Didn't want to blow the cover on your joke though! Fun part is you will probably get comments on this for weeks yet since nobody ever seems to bother reading beyond the first post of a thread before they contribute their wisdom.
