Yep, lots of good info here if you look around for it ......

How do you like your MSM .. ??

Do you have an FR-S/BRZ or just thinking about one .. ??

A boosted FR-S won't be as bullet proof as your MSM ...... but it will be a bit faster.

Thanks for your helpful information. I like the MSM a lot. Increased horsepower about 30% with Flyin Miata add ons. I had a BRZ but sold it and am looking around for another.

I believe they are on V3 now it has a much better bracket than previous version and a better pulley system I believe.

Quite honestly I believe the jacksons racing sc is better, much less invasive install. Also the HKS requires cutting the stock intake box I believe, as well as notching things out.
Appreciate the help. I'm new on the board and still finding out where to look for stuff. Can't seem to find how to send thanks or I would.

Twin screw vs centrifugal aren't really comparable there is a vast price difference between the two right now.

So I noticed the V3 is a different bracket. Does this mean my V2 bracket is a liability? The changes you guys are making to these kits always make me nervous -- it's great to see things being improved but it's ultra discouraging when I spend thousands of dollars to see a revision released as a new version that basically labels the old parts as not very good or a liability.

the v3 looks like a plate with spacers, while the v2 is a cast unit. Personally i like the beefy v2 bracket. the changes from v2 to v3 isnt much. they just used a bigger pulley for less boost with no restrictor plate for v3. v2 has room for more boost if you plan on building your engine later, no restrictor plate max out at 14-16psi. more boost on a v3 kit requires a $150 pulley.

You should not have any problem with the V2 kit that you currently have installed on your car. The differences in the brackets were to allow for clearance due to the larger pulley being used on the supercharger in the V3 kit.

You are A-OK to run the V2 kit with confidence!

That would depend on where it is rusting. If you want to shoot a couple pictures to support@HKSUSA.com I would be happy to take a look.
