20k difference? Easy choice.
How much is the Focus RS going to be over there? I'd look into that.
Or drop a v8 in the 86 for 20k.

Just checked! 55-60k for the new focus RS! Thats mustang v8 money.
Dollar for dollar (from what ive spent) here in AUS, i know a supercharged gt86 is better value compared to an ecoboost stang. I was just trying to get an idea of how they compare performance wise.

performance wise-both are quick cars. Mustang ecoboost has torque the 86 supercharged doesn't.

Haven't driven the ecoboost but have driven the V8 and thoughts are the Mustang is a quick car and a tad faster than my 86 but man can you feel the weight of it in corners and overall handling in comparison.

If doing alot of long distance cruising then the Mustang would be a good choice but for fun factor the 86 is very hard to beat.

Got back into my 86 and had no regrets buying it and spending the extra $ to make it go and ride/handle really well etc

Like the look of both but prefer the 86 when lowered with better wheels/tires .

Model: 2016 Ford Mustang
Curb weight: 3,532 lbs

I would hope that they can fit in some extra torque to go with the extra 800 pounds of car.

If I was going to buy a mustang it would either be an ecoboost or the GT350. But I'm not because they are still too big and too heavy. Nice car though.
