First off just want to thank you for putting together a great DIY. I plan on using it when I do my install

What happen with the police?

You can't just casually mention that you were getting questioned by the police without telling us the story.

Its not that big of a story, he saw me parked on the side of an unlit road in a lightly populated area at midnight pulling stuff out of my trunk. I can see how that would look a bit suspicious The cop was just curious what I was doing, I explained, and the cop was confused. Then he said "ok, just dont get hit" and left.

About 5 minutes later after I moved my tripod to another spot, the traffic picked up, which is very odd for that area, so I packed it in. I'll probably head back out Thursday night to take some more pics. The cops will be out in full force tonight and tomorrow night looking for drunk drivers, so I'd rather avoid annoying them/being hassled.

@civicdrivr, I've got some pictures to supplement what you've done here, so if you want I can send them to you and you can add them in the appropriate spots. No sense in me rewriting a helpful DIY!

EDIT:
Here is where I mounted the ballasts:

I've got the kit, just can't decide if I should black out the lights while they're open or not. Don't want to do it twice. Ultramarine...Hrm...

My daughters car is black, I left them alone, it retains the designer original intention, no dragon eye effect, no continuity, stock retains the intended lines.
A lot of college art majors weighed in on the idea, 9-10 preferred stock
Just an opinion.
