Absolutely agreed. That's exactly why I listed subwoofer output level as the number one thing that kills the sound quality of a system. A properly tuned sound quality system, you won't even realize there is a subwoofer playing until you turn it off. I have a 12" Stereo Integrity MKIV that will go in my wife's car under the glove box. It's an xbl2 motor design, so it stays at extremely low distortion levels through its whole usable excursion range. When I tune it for sound quality, you don't even know it's playing.

That's not to say that if you enjoy that kind of thing that it's wrong, as I too enjoy periodically sitting in cars that make it hard to breathe. I'm just saying it's not accurate to the music.

Feeling it requires it being loud enough to hear it, especially since those beats aren't really that low in frequency.

The OEM Audio system is more than twice as much as the JL one. I am not looking for rattle my car apart bass (I already had a car like that, 2 kicker comps pushing 1000 watts that rattled my whole car apart). I am just looking for some nice tight sounding bass.

There's a big difference. The oem is a full system with processing designed for this specific car. The stealth box is just that, a box and subwoofer only.

Jl is only a sub and box. OEM+ is that, amp,DSP, PnP wiring, and tweeters. Also I should note that even the door speakers rattled less with the OEM+ setup somehow

That's likely do to a better crossover point. They probably high pass them higher so less energy goes into the doors, and let the sub cover the missing content.
