My ideal setup is basically:

32PSI cold.

Adjust down if needed based on vehicle traction on track.

What does this mean?

It's going to be different for every tire, every wheel/tire combo, every weather condition, the only way to really know is to test.

Pyrometers are great, you can also find near optional grip by iterating one end of the car. Drop the front pressures, did the car understeer or oversteer, ect. It just takes longer.

Last thing, take notes. Weather, temp, track, cold and hot temps..... After a while you'll know the answer or where to find it in your notes.

*edit, just saw I posted essentially the same thing strat did above.....

It means my preferred method of fine-tuning at the track usually does not involve endless combinations of suspension and tire adjustment.

Alignments are already done, I'm not going to redo it.

If the car feels off to me, I can make minor adjustments via air pressure or damper settings.

I understand and know the benefits of a pyrometer. I just do not have a need for it as much as others.

32PSI cold usually ends up at 36-40PSI hot. I then adjust down based on what the car is reacting after the warmup lap and/or first session in the morning.
