could you tell me how you found out it was the cable? my oft worked fine the last time I used it, (close to a year ago), but i wanted to do a checkup and got the same "operation failed" message for diagnostic. I haven't unplugged the battery yet, but I did notice that when I lightly tug the cable side to side, the OFT looses power then restarts.. not sure how to tell if it's the cable or the connector in the OFT.

I had to send my unit back in.and shiv found the problem. I didnt have another twin to check locally so I had to wait.

If you have a friend that has the same car. Try to see if it works on theirs. Also I went to autozone and had them check my ecu and they were able to read my ecu. So I figured it was the cable.then shipped and shiv confirmed

Alright, thank you.

I don't have any friends with the same car. I'll go check the with autozone before I do anything else.

If they will sell a new cable that might be the best way for me to go. I'll just grab a multi meter and ohm out the cable, and maybe try to tweak the pins for better contact with the OFT first though.
