I have a JDL UEL catless header, nameless op/fp with hi flow cat and resonator, and perrin exhaust. Its noticeably louder, but no drone. Cold start I'm sure my neighbors get annoyed.

If I swap to the stock header, its louder than stock but not overly bad for cold start. IMO an ideal area balancing being friendly to neighbors and a bit more tone. Just as a reference. You could also find a good condition used one for your price range.

It's quite pricey but it was totally worth it. No drone, noticeably louder than a stock. Super deep tone. I love it.

Just do a header and a Nameless muffled track pipe, which is an axleback.

Header for power, axleback for added sound.

Guys please, nothing more than what the invidia would cost. I have grad school bills to pay ><. I really appreciate the suggestions but there is no way I will be paying over 650 for an exhaust.

Buy a slightly used one or new one that someone changed their minds on and you could get a better exhaust for your price range.

Just a suggestion

If money is a concern the muffled track pipe axleback is only $224. I did the header for some power, but wanted some louder rumbles but am poor so I got the muffled track pipe.

Invidia N1 was great for a noticeable difference from stock. Ran it for 3 years. Switched to TRD exhaust for a little quieter.

How is the sound, honestly all I'm after is the sound as it is all the exhaust provides.

Can someone briefly explain to me what's stopping me from just getting a muffler delete or any other alternatives out there? Lately I've been realizing that an exhaust system is just sound so why pay all that money when you can get it for cheaper.

fabrziox1: it may depend on set of exhaust components you have. Sometimes simple muffler delete may result in drone. As for if go for that loud exhaust in general, i suggest to think twice about it. It might be ok for eg. track only toy, but if it's car you drive daily .. it tires one a lot and is not that 'fun' anymore, if you have to hear that loud exhaust for hours during cruise on highway, during which you cannot enjoy music or have normal conversation. Also if muffler delete is together with catless header which makes it even louder, summary volume might get a bit TOO much. Even worse with cold starts. So it would be beneficial to have also cold starts disabled in ecu tune, to not fight with neighbors due your exhaust.

Nothing is stopping you from going muffler delete except yourself. Just keep in mind muffler deletes are generally loud, but if you planning on keeping your car stock and dont change the header or front pipe it might be tolerable. You might still have slight drone though.
